After the dispersion of the strength of a peaceful march to demand political reforms, dozens of demonstrators took refuge in the headquarters of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU), left-wing opposition.

Around 14:00, the security forces tried to raid the headquarters, but failed against the resistance of the demonstrators. Some witnesses, including a correspondent saw dozens of people were injured, several of them seriously. "I saw a pregnant woman and girls who were savagely beaten by police.

Violence was unprecedented, "said Hassan Hamdani, the independent weekly Tel Quel. Before the assault, which was ordered by the Prefect of Police in Casablanca, officials launched appeals over loudspeakers asking them to leave the party headquarters and cessation of slogans calling for political reform "profound." A security source in Casablanca said most of the demonstrators are Islamists who took refuge in the headquarters of the PSU, and had met without permission.

"There were a dozen injured but their injuries are mostly quite light. None of them was hospitalized. "
