Grodemo: Several people killed in protests in Yemen

In demonstrations of government opponents in Yemen At least six people were killed and hundreds injured. Apparently, security forces opened fire on protesters in several cities. Also in Bahrain again tens of thousands took to the streets. When violent action against anti-government protesters in Yemen for at least six people have been killed. Security forces killed in Sanaa and Mukkalla, according to opposition officials and doctors two demonstrators, including a twelve year old boy, also in Sanaa a "sniper" was another man shot.


Several of the victims were taken, according to eyewitnesses in the head. In Yemen, there are protests for weeks against President Ali Abdallah Saleh. In the Yemeni capital Sanaa officials a protest camp raided by government opponents at the University of the capital. According to the Organisatn while a man was killed.

Another 300 people were injured, then, nearly 30 of them by gunshots. The others had suffered through the use of poisonous gas by the security forces damage. The authorities said however that they had used no gas other than tear gas. The victim belongs to a group of young people who had been intercepted on the way to the demonstration by security forces. It was killed by the "shot by a sniper." Another major demonstration in Bahrain in the Kingdom of Bahrain also gathered again on Saturday tens of thousands of demonstrators. The opposition supporters went before a palace of the king.

In Safrija, north of the capital Manama, at least 30,000 people protested against the violence of the security forces. On Friday during a tear gas the police more than 700 people had been injured. The protests in Bahrain are borne mainly by disaffected Shiites. About two-thirds of the residents of the Gulf state are Shiites.
