Mladic arrest: follow live events

On the run for nearly fifteen years, the former military leader of Bosnian Serbs Ratko Mladic was arrested Thursday, May 26 in Bosnia. The information was confirmed at midday during a press conference of Serbian President Boris Tadic. Mladic was indicted by the international genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for his role during the Bosnian war (1992-1995).

Ban Ki-moon speaks of "a historic day for international justice." Nicolas Sarkozy hailed a "very good news" and a "very courageous decision of the Serbian president. Mladic arrest: follow live events
