Brasil/Francia.- France recovered the first body from the wreckage of Air France plane that hit the Atlantic

PARIS, 5 May. France has recovered the first body from the wreckage of Air France plane that fell into the Atlantic off the Brazilian coast on 1 June 20009, as announced by the Directorate General of the French National Gendarmerie (DGGN). "After a failed attempt, the remains of one victim has been recovered (...) Thursday," he said in a statement.

France began operating last week to rescue the bodies and wreckage of the A330-200 of Air France in which is the fifth year search. The crash killed the 228 occupants of the plane, of 32 different nationalities, including 61 French and 58 Brazilians. The rescue of the first remains were produced after two years of searching in an area of 10,000 km under the sea.

It is feared that many bodies can not withstand sudden temperature change of the seabed to the surface. The body, which was found still attached to the seat of the aircraft at about 3,900 meters deep, is degraded, so the experts collected samples in order to proceed to the identification of the victim, while the investigation continues, newspaper Gallo 'Les Echos'.
