Killed five foreign soldiers in an attack in Afganistn

At least nine soldiers from international forces and Afghan army have been killed today in a suicide bombing at a military base in Laghman province in eastern Afghanistan. Eight other soldiers were wounded. The attack, which took place at the base of Gamberi, killing five members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), according to a spokesman for the multilateral agency, who has avoided specifying their nationalities, a power which corresponds each country.

Another four Afghan soldiers were killed and eight wounded in the same event, as explained by the Afghan military spokesman in the eastern parts of the country, Mohamed Noman Atifi. The Taliban has claimed responsibility and has raised the number of victims. "A suicide bomber has detonated his explosives at a military base Qarghai district killing twelve members of foreign troops and 14 Afghan forces," said a rebel spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid.

According to his version, the attacker, identified as Abdul gahani, had been working on this basis during the past year, and detonated the load he was carrying during a meeting between Afghan and international troops. Yesterday, the police chief in the troubled southern Afghan province of Kandahar, Khan Mohammad Mujahid, and two other members of this body of the security forces were killed in another suicide.

The actions of suicide bombers, roadside bombs along with are the most common tactics of the insurgents to harass the security forces in Afghanistan.
