In Egypt, Hosni Mubarak will be transferred to military hospital

.- The ousted President Hosni Mubarak will be transferred to a military hospital until he recovers enough to face questioning in a corruption investigation, prosecutors said Friday. Little is known about the health problem that affects Mubarak, 82, who was admitted to a hospital in Sharm el-Sheik resort in the Red Sea on Tuesday after being questioned by prosecutors on corruption charges.

State media said he suffered a "heart attack", but medical sources in the hospital, and an unidentified official in the state news agency, said Friday that Mubarak was in good health. An important security source said it was likely that Mubarak was transferred to a military hospital outside Cairo in a few hours, what would be his first movement to the capital since he resigned Feb.

11 after mass demonstrations. "Hosni Mubarak will be transferred to the International Medical Center, on the road between Cairo and Ismailia, given the need for special care," the source told Reuters. Mubarak denied any wrongdoing on Sunday in his first public comments since the overthrow.

The ruling military council, across the country since protests toppled Mubarak in February, has been under intense pressure to deliver the former president to justice. Earlier this week, the generals took a break to order the arrest of former president for 15 days for questioning about allegations of abuse of power, embezzlement and involvement in the killing of demonstrators.

Mubarak's sons, Gamal and Alaa, were also included in a list of those arrested and taken to the Torah prison on the outskirts of Cairo, home to presidential advisers, former ministers, former party officials and executives. Earlier, a spokesman for the prosecutor told the state news agency MENA Mubarak's health did not allow even their transportation to the hospital sector of the Torah prison.

"But it is imperative that the Office is informed of when their health improves and can be transferred to the prison," said MENA. Late on Friday, security was tightened around the hospital where the former president accompanied by his wife, Suzanne. A source said he watched at least eight civil guards.
