A Russian military plane crashes with twelve pilots on board

 A Russian military cargo plane crashed in the night from Tuesday 28 to Wednesday, December 29, in the Tula region south of Moscow, due to a snowstorm, according to Russian authorities. Twelve people were killed, according to an official report. The aircraft, an Antonov-22, was on a training exercise.

He departed with 12 pilots on board the Russian Air Force. "Less than an hour after takeoff, the inhabitants of the Tula region saw the plane and then heard an explosion. About three o'clock in the morning, the plane was found. All the occupants were killed," Ministry said the Russian public.


The black boxes from the plane were found at the scene of the disaster. The prosecutor opened a criminal investigation for violation of air navigation. Military aircraft accidents are relatively frequent in Russia. In September, a fighter jet Su-27 crashed during a training flight in the Russian Far East, causing no casualties, both pilots had safely ejected.
