Processed to 41 guards for the escape of 153 prisoners in northeastern Mexico

This is the fifth flight in the State of Tamaulipas in a year. "Initially it was said that there were 141 prisoners escaped, then 151 and now 153 EFE - Mexico - 29/12/2010 A Mexican judge has decided to prosecute 41 guards, including seven women, from a prison in the city of New Laredo, in Tamaulipas state (northeast) for his role in the escape of 153 prisoners, informed the Mexican Attorney.

Initially it was said that there were 141 prisoners escaped, then 151 and now the prosecution says they are 153. So far there has been the arrest of any of them. While the prison director, Efrain Hernandez Llamas, who did not show up for work after the escape, is still missing. The head of state prisons, Horacio Sepúlveda, was fired days after the leak.

Tamaulipas beginning of the year is the battlefield of two drug cartels, the Gulf Cartel and the Zetas, whose bloody war has killed more than a thousand dead and created an atmosphere of terror among the citizenry.
