Iberoam .- The XI Shows 'documentaries and Latin American Photography' opens Friday

SANTANDER, 29 Apr. The eleventh edition of 'documentaries and Latin American Photography' opens this Friday in the exhibition hall of the Fundación Comillas. Brazil will be the guest of the XI Shows 'documentaries and Latin American Photography' which sponsors and hosts the Comillas Foundation and is included within 'Adocs 2011'.

On the occasion of the sample between April 30 and May 7 will be guided tours and more hours in the exhibition hall of the Foundation for the sample on Latin America. The exhibition hall of the Comillas Foundation will extend its visiting hours in the morning, which will be open from 10.30 until 13.30 hours on the occasion of the XI Sample Photo Documentary and Latin America.

In addition, during these days will tours of the exhibition by members of the Association ProDocumentales, organizer of this initiative. Both the extension of hours and guided tours designed to encourage a greater number of visitors during the week's main event, however, extends from 29 April to 27 May.

The selection of works includes works arrived from South America, Canada, Japan and Africa, among others, and a total of 70 films and works of 56 photographers. The opening will be April 29, at 1900 hours in the exhibition hall of the Fundación Comillas. Documentary Shows the XI Latin American Photography and is integrated into the framework of Social Action-Documentary 'Adocs 2011', which also includes the first edition of 'Documentary of Biscay', plus the documentary shows titled 'Other Viewpoints' , a forum and meeting photographers' Film and Education.

" These last two activities will take place on 30 April from 15.00, and May 3 respectively. Photographers forum will serve as a meeting place for professionals, from Cantabria and arrivals from other countries, specifically to attend the shows.
