EU condemns violence of the Syrian regime

.- The President of the United States, Barack Obama on Friday condemned "the use of violence" and accused the Syrian regime of President Bashar Assad to "seek Iranian help" in the repression of protests by demonstrators, activists say has left at least 75 dead. "The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms the use of force in the Syrian government towards the protesters.

This disproportionate use of violence to silence the protests should end now," Obama said in a statement. "Instead of listening to your own people, President Assad accused abroad, intending to get Iranian help to suppress the Syrians with the same brutal tactics used by Iranian allies, "he added.

At least 75 people were killed Friday in Syria for several protests on the bloodiest day of protests for democracy in the country, said Amnesty International. The international advocacy group for human rights activists in Syria cited as sources of information. "We strongly object to treatment that causes the Syrian government to its residents and we hold against destabilizing attitude and support for terrorism and terrorist groups" , added the president.

Under Bush, the violence on Friday shows that Thursday's announcement by the Syrian authorities lift the state of emergency in force since 1963 "was not serious." Syrian security forces on Friday killed over 70 people by firing demonstrations hostile to the regime in several cities in Syria, one of the bloodiest days since the beginning of the movement of revolt, according to witnesses and militants.
