Amounts to about two thousand 500 the number of Syrian refugees in Turkey

900 thousand other Syrians arrived in Turkey on Wednesday, bringing to 500 the total two thousand refugees who crossed the border with Turkey, which set a major receiving device and helps in Hatay province, told AFP on Thursday to a source government. The figure of two thousand 500 refugees was announced Thursday night by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, according to NTV television.

The refugees are assisted by the Red Cross, in a village with shops in Yayladagi (Hatay province). The Turkish authorities announced that its borders would remain open, but said fear a massive influx of refugees after the arrival Wednesday intensified Syrians fleeing the repressive regime of Bashar al-Assad against the revolt began on 15 March.

The Syrian town of Jisr al Shughur (northwest), where the army carried out operations bloody persecution, is only 40 km.
