Six people killed in separate attacks in Iraq

At least six people, including three pro-government militia members "Salvation Councils" were killed and sixteen others injured in three attacks in Baghdad and north of Baghdad. An Interior Ministry source said that three Iraqi civilians were killed and fifteen others were injured in varying degrees by the explosion of a car bomb in a street in the Al Sayedi, located in southwestern Baghdad.

The explosion also caused the destruction of about ten private vehicles and several nearby buildings, the sources said. On the other hand, two members of the militia "Salvation Councils", which works with police in the fight against terrorism, were killed by an armed group in the area of Al Azim, about 60 kilometers north of Baquba, capital Diyala province, northeast of Baghdad.

Security forces detained three individuals suspected of having been involved in that attack. The same sources said that another man, belonging to the "Salvation Councils", was fatally shot one of his brothers critically injured by gunfire from unknown Bany Zaid village, about 10 miles west of Baquba.
