Day "of hate and anger" against the opposition in Iran

Thousands of supporters of the regime in Iran gathered at Tehran University for Friday prayers, shouting "Death to Mousavi, Karoubi death", before a big event "of hate and anger" against the two leaders reformist opposition: Mehdi Karoubi, former head of Parliament, and Mir Hossein Mousavi, former Prime Minister.

Ayatollah Ahmad Janati, who delivered the sermon before the prayer, said that justice was put under house arrest two opponents closer. "Their lives came to an end. Some say they should be hanged. But they are already hung [politically, in the eyes of the population, note], they have no more reputation.

Some require that they be tried , justice act, taking into account the interests of power, "he added. "But what to do and I think she is trying to do is to cut off all contact with the public. We must close their home, limiting their whereabouts, they are prevented to give and receive messages, "said Ayatollah Janati.

"We must cut their phone, their internet. They should be imprisoned in their own home," said the head of the Council of Guardians of the Constitution. "Mousavi and Karoubi should be hanged," claimed the crowd. Both opposition leaders have for several days of de facto house arrest, and their phones have been cut.

Wednesday the chief of the judiciary, Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani, accused of "treason", saying that justice now would prevent them from "publishing statements". The authorities have announced the organization, after prayer, a great demonstration of the population to express "his hatred, anger and disgust at the savage and repugnant crimes of the leaders of sedition." Demonstrations in favor of the regime are also planned in the towns at the end of prayer.

The calls have proliferated in the conservative camp in power for a speedy trial and a "severe punishment" of the two opponents, after a banned anti-government protest that left two dead and several wounded on Monday in Tehran.
