Never mind the whale

Yes! Never mind the whales, it is their fault if they are, they're too fat, and then if there is to do a trade secret bell'accordo with Japan, which go to hell 'sti environmentalists nag. So he must have thought the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in spite of its politically correct etiquette when he endorsed a wicked plot to resume sustainable hunting (now a few words are the slogan of coverage of the worst atrocities) to whales.

The news was revealed by Wikileaks Julian Assange and has also been reported by Spanish newspaper El País. But first things first to see what has happened in this symbolic event that shows - as further evidence were needed - of what the environmental vision of world leaders, and that the game is played in which our very survival, along with that of whales.

As is known, an international moratorium prohibits the killing of these magnificent mammals, even if the ban is not respected, especially by Japan and Norway, which continue the carnage on the pretext of "scientific research" (and remember that trade is worth meat and derived from the whales is in the hands of mafia-Orientales).

Against the Japanese whalers fight with courage some knights of the sea, Greenpeace and the environmentalists are those of the non-governmental organization Sea Shepherd, who, with pioneering a new boat, they managed to prevent the launch deadly explosive harpoons (explode when hit the whale, ed.) Well, the documents made it clear by Wikileaks reveal that, in view of the last meeting of the International Whaling Commission in June 2010, Tokyo was tempted by an agreement with the United States and New Zealand to curb the activities of environmentalists Sea Shepherd.

Japan was willing to reduce its share of hunting (currently 850 minke whales plus 100 other species!) And avoid killing the larger specimens, that is, humpback and minke whales in the Southern Hemisphere, and to remove the loophole of "scientific research" if the U.S. had accepted the request of Tokyo is a form of legalization for a hunt "sustainable", ie small scale of whales off the coast of Nipponese.

In addition, the Japanese demanded the ratification of laws to guarantee "of security in the seas," in practice a kind of impunity. Term obligations, which, according to Sea Shepherd, the Japanese hide the request of a U.S. commitment to make life very difficult for the environmental organization, tightening criminal proceedings and eliminating the right of the non-governmental exemption tax.

The agreement, which the parties would begin to negotiate in 2008, had obtained an initial approval of the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton and the endorsement of New Zealand, and seemed to be going in the harbor, a practice condemned death of the last remaining whales. The Japanese would then put pressure on the United States because the latter be the bearers of the initiative against the European Union and Australia, where Sea Shepherd docks, supplies and registered its ships.

But the nefarious project would not come off because, on 4 February, the Australian Environment Minister Peter Garrett rejected the proposal made to the sender the U.S. embassy in Canberra was deemed "unacceptable" for the Australian government. The news speaks for itself! But all of us the ability to be vigilant and report anyone who wants to steal our future.

We must boycott Japanese products until they stop whaling and the end to fish with their wild tuna sushi food fads, supporting the environmentalists who are fighting on the frontline. For those who have never seen them in action, even in a television documentary serial, here it is.
