FMI: DSK's successor could be appointed tonight

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) considers  on applications for the position of CEO, and could immediately choose between the French Christine Lagarde and Mexico's Agustin Carstens. A meeting of the Board is scheduled in Washington at 10 am local time.


The twenty-four members of this body, twenty-three men and a woman wishing to nominate Thursday at the latest successor to the French Dominique Strauss-Kahn, "by consensus". If this does not form consensus, a vote would take place.
