Syrian President supports error to suppress protesters

President Bashar al-Assad acknowledged that security forces made mistakes to repress the opposition, but said the country is overcoming the crisis. Yesterday the rebels called for holding a general strike in the center of Damascus but few heeded the call. "Who would dare to go on strike and risk running out of business or becoming the target of the authorities?" Said a businessman who requested anonymity.

Barack Obama President Assad decided to sanction and six other leaders of the regime, repression. The State Department explained that the sanctions involve the freezing of any property they have in the United States. Russia for its part, said that the UN will not support an intervention in Syria as he led the Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Libya.

"I will not support a resolution so even if I ask my friends," said President Dmitri Medvedev. Yemen's government and the opposition refused to ratify the agreement to end the crisis in the country, despite U.S. pressure. Sources revealed that government and opposition were to initial the proposal by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which stipulates that the president transferred power to Vice President Rabo Mansour Hadi Abdi 30 days after signing the agreement, and the call elections two months later.
