Mubarak's wife released on bail after the return of certain property

Suzanne, wife of President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, overthrown by a popular uprising on February 11, 2011, was released on bail without having served 15 days of detention in which he was convicted. He had, however, authorize the Advisor to the Minister of Justice Assem al-Gohari, head of the Office for the ill-gotten gains, to withdraw his money from two banks to sell a luxury villa that has to Heliopolis, a suburb of Cairo, and give back these assets to the state.

Justice Minister Mohamed al-Guindy had declared that the judiciary would be satisfied if the woman had regained some of its goods to Egypt, but according to the statements of Mrs. Mubarak, the amount that would have only 20 million Egyptian pounds , about 3.37 million dollars. The amount of money available to the Mubarak family would, however, several billion dollars.

There is also talk of gold looted from the pyramids. All charges to be proven, of course, but it is clear that Mrs. Mubarak is not a rich lady any Egyptian. She was arrested by anti-corruption agents investigating the finances of the family on charges that he improperly accumulated assets.

The investigation continues on illegal, but according to the judges Mrs Mubarak should not remain in prison. His release had been widely expected not only because she had denied all the charges but because last Friday, after the verdict had been hospitalized with symptoms of suspected heart attack.

The daily Al-Ahram said, however, that doctors were unable to finish all trials, which could prolong hospitalization, to verify the true state of health of the woman. The shelter was not done in any hospital but at the International Hospital, the same hospital where her husband was next to a resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, the famous tourist resort on the Red Sea where the spouses have a villa.

According to some doctors, that are desired to remain anonymous, Suzanne Mubarak would have had only a panic attack. The enormous wealth of the family alleged Mubarak was one of the major reasons for the popular protest. According to the CIA World Factbook Egypt is the second most populous country in Africa, with about 80 million inhabitants.

Of these about 40% live on less than $ 2 per day. The seventy-Mubarak, a Welsh mother, he studied sociology and politics at the University of Cairo and was the First Lady from 1981 to 2011. She is the patron of children's television program Alam Simsim, the Egyptian version of the popular American series Sesame Street.

Suzanne had won a degree of popular sympathy in two occasions: when they had recovered from an illness that had left her look fragile and suffering, and when in 2009 one of the two grandchildren, 12enne Muhammad, died. Over the past ten years but had been repeatedly accused of being the driving force behind the projects of his son Gamal to succeed his father as president of the country and, in general, too much influence in Egyptian politics.

But what people still do not forgive is the enormous accumulation of wealth. In prison he was also asked about the ownership of the villa in Sharm el-Sheikh, the estimated value of over 6.1 million dollars, and the alleged use of a personal bank account at the Library of Alexandria. Meanwhile, the investigation proceeds, accounts owned by the family Mubarak in Cairo and several banks in Switzerland have been frozen.

While Suzanne Mubarak has been released, the newspaper Al-Ahram Online reports that would be in preparation for the speech with which the husband asks the people to forgive him, offering to give money to the state and calls for amnesty. It is expected that the former president declared that the assets accumulated by the family were taken from the Egyptian people because of bad advice from advisers datigli and wrong information given to him by the experts.
