Japan's meteorological agency cancels tsunami warning

Launched a tsunami warning after strong quake measuring 7.4 degrees on the Richter scale in northeast Japan was raised shortly before 0100 on Friday, local time, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said on public TV channel NHK. In turn, the geophysical service of the U.S. (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 23H32 (14H32 GMT) with epicenter 66 km east of Sendai, at a depth of 25.6 km.
