Egypt legalize political groups repressed by Mubarak

.- The military junta that took power in Egypt will lift restrictions on political groups banned and suppressed during the regime of Hosni Mubarak, including the Muslim Brotherhood to form his own party. According to the Egyptian news agency Mena said, citing military officials, the restrictions will be lifted after the constitutional referendum of March 19, so that different groups will end three decades in hiding.

Under the regime of Mubarak, who resigned Feb. 11 amid massive protests, new political parties needed to approve a parliamentary committee, controlled by the Democratic National Party representative. The Muslim Brotherhood, the largest opposition movement, welcomed the decision and recalled that this was a claim for which its members fought for many years.

In saying by the Al-Arabiya, a spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood called the announcement as "an important and necessary step 'for democracy in Egypt. The military junta that took power after the resignation of Mubarak dissolved parliament, suspended the constitution and announced parliamentary and presidential elections before mid-year.
