Bahrain to protest martial law applies

While the Government of Bahrain struggled to quell a protest sparked by the archipelago's Shia majority, martial law was declared. The Defense Ministry said the action against the protesters can be fast. And is that security forces may impose curfews, disperse those gathered and evacuate the areas. The origin of the protests, according to materialize that is discrimination exercised by the Sunni royal family.

Notably, over 60% of Bahrainis are Shia. The unrest left three dead. A hospital source said two men, a Bahraini and Bangladeshi, were killed during fighting in a Shiite area in Sitra, and more than 200 people were injured in various incidents. The state of emergency for three months will give all power to the armed forces, which are dominated by the country's Sunni elite, which stoked sectarian tensions in one of the most politically volatile nations of the Persian Gulf.

The Government is not checked. On Monday, more than a thousand soldiers were deployed to Saudi Arabia in the kingdom in a long convoy of armored vehicles at the request of the rulers of Bahrain suniitas. The United Arab Emirates has sent 500 policemen and Qatar said it also would send police.
