Ministers are appointed independent Tunisian Government

Riot forces forcibly evicted protesters who, despite the departure of the ministers of the old regime of the transitional government, also require that leave the Tunisian Prime Minister Mohamed Ghanuchi, and the final break with the past. About three thousand demonstrators arrived in the most deprived areas of central and southern Mexico were in the Plaza of the Government demanding more reforms, while the rest of the city gradually returned to normal.

To ease the tension, the prime minister of independent persons appointed to fill three key positions in the new interim cabinet ministers, following removal of the former ruling party in a major concession to the opposition protesters. But Ghannouchi, remnants of the former regime of ousted President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, remains in the new cabinet despite claims to leave.

It is unclear whether the appointment of independent ministers in the portfolios of Interior, Foreign Affairs and Defense appease opponents who demanded the withdrawal of all ministers linked to the previous regime. The new cabinet includes 12 new ministers and nine remnants of the previous interim government was appointed on 17 January.

Ghannouchi said the new cabinet will work on political reforms demanded by some opposition parties, including new electoral law, terrorism law and press freedom.
