New Exodus on the border between Syria and Turque after an offensive in the border

Syrian troops continue their offensive against the people critical of the regime of Bashar al-Assad on the border with Turkey. Today they have entered the Shogur Jisr, a town besieged by the army for days.

The arrival of the soldiers has caused a new exodus to Turkey, people who join the thousands of Syrians who have crossed the border seeking asylum since last April 29. The refugees are crowded into camps set up by the Red Crescent and the Turkish authorities. Several hundred Syrians are awaiting clearance to cross.
