For the first time since 1949, Chinese will go to Taiwan

Taiwan has lifted Wednesday, June 22, the ban on visas for Chinese tourists. Taiwan accomplished individual visas for five hundred Chinese tourists per day. The Chinese could go to Taiwan with a tourist visa, but only in groups.

Taiwan and China announced in early June an increase of 50% of their air travel, bringing the number of flights between the two territories to 558 a week.
Taiwan became independent in 1949, although Beijing regards the island as a rebel and does not exclude the use of force against  it.
