Start the Paris Summit on the UN resolution against Libya

.- The Paris summit convened by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, to discuss implementation of Security Council resolution on military action in Libya today began shortly after 12:30 GMT. Sources of the Elysee Palace, French President of the Republic confirmed to Efe the beginning of the meeting. Efe was found that the last participants to arrive was the Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, who no longer received Sarkozy on the steps of the courtyard of the Elysee, as it did with those who preceded him.

Presidential sources confirmed that not attending, contrary to what had been announced, no representative of the Organization for African Unity (OAU). Participating in the meeting the prime ministers of Canada, Stephen Harper, the UK, David Cameron, and Belgium, Yves Leterme, the U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the head of government Spanish, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

The Spanish prime minister traveled to Paris accompanied by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Jose Julio Rodriguez are also in the Elysee High Representative for Foreign Policy of the European Union, Catherine Ashton, the European Council President, Herman van Rompuy, the UN secretary general, Ban Ki Moon, and the secretary general of the Arab League, Amro Musa.

The list of attendees includes the prime ministers of Denmark, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, and Greece, George Papandreou, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE and Iraq's Foreign Minister, Mahmud Zebari. In the relationship will remain the prime ministers of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg, and Holland, Mark Rutte, as well as foreign ministers of Jordan, Nasser Joudeh, and Morocco, Taeb Fassi Fihri.

Also attended by the President of Poland, Donald Tusk, and Qatari Prime Minister, Hamad bin Jaber Al Thani.
