On 12 February as the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo

While women are preparing for the event of 13, the network is taking shape for the previous day, February 12, an event sponsored by the Purple People who day by day is growing membership. In almost all the major cities of Italy, grassroots groups are organizing to protest a heavy pots and pans. Some people, twisting his nose, he thinks that the folklore is not enough to shake the government and the consent of Berlusconi, who, not at all afraid of a day of "simple" dispute between the drum and music, does not care about the growing popular discontent.

Yet on these cacerolas Italian there is a historical precedent that few really know. We must do a mental and cultural heritage going back over the years until 1977, when, on April 30, the 14 historical components of the association Mothers of Plaza de Mayo began with their peaceful demonstrations in front of the Casa Rosada, or Presidential Palace Argentina.

Azucena Villaflor de De Vincenti was later arrested and detained in secret prisons Esma from December 10, 1977. Their emblem, a white handkerchief tied on his head, is their symbol of protest that was originally formed from the first diaper, cloth, used for their newborn children. Their name originates from the name of the famous square in Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo, where these courageous women came together for the first time and since then, every Thursday afternoon, they gather in the square and cross in a circular direction around the pyramid that is at the center for about half an hour, accompanied by the sound of noisy pots and pans.

They have done so for nearly three decades that women have the same objective: to claim the disappearance of their children and get a refund. The children of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo were all illegally arrested and held prisoner by the Argentine police officers in clandestine detention centers during the period in the history of Argentina is ranked as the Dirty War, so called illegal methods unrelated to any law used by the military junta.

The majority of them were first tortured and then murdered, then made to disappear in the most absolute secrecy, hence the name desaparecidos, "disappeared" in Spanish. Imagine yourself in the face of such cruelty of a regime supported by the violent Operation Condor also by the Italian secret services and P2, what they could achieve the brave mothers.

We now have the task, dear friends and fellow women, with the same courage to express our utter outrage and ask for truth, that does not stop at night and partying Arcore but stand up strong in respect of investigations into mafia massacres '92-'93. Because while mainstream media have focused on the crime of extortion and suggested child prostitution, the court of Florence is taking place in total silence, a process in which four repentant stated that the current prime minister and his righthand man Marcello Dell ' Utri bombs are the inspiration and end-users in a negotiation between the state and mafia.

Who can think that it is risky to compare the current military regime of Videla Berlusconi government, I remember the sad and true sentence as a kind of joke of the Prime Minister Berlusconi on flights sbarazzarzi charged for the death of political opponents of the Argentine regime. Berlusconi is aware of practices so cruel? Maybe the 1816 ticket could tell many things.

To do our duty, on 12 and 13 February, to set up a large popular protest of mothers, daughters and sons. Not only for the dignity of a woman, but thousands of women who make a nation, aiming mainly to the families of victims of the mafia and terrorism. Reclaim the streets and take back Italy and our women, mothers and daughters, to follow the courage of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo.
