Sudan, fighting between police and students dead and five injured

KHARTOUM - A student died in Sudan from his injuries after being beaten by security forces, who have forcibly suppressed the protests inspired by those that broke out in neighboring Egypt. "Medical sources have confirmed that the student died yesterday from wounds inflicted by security forces," confirmed Yasir Arman, a senior official of the largest party in the southern Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).

Ahaliya The University of Omdurman, where the crackdown took place, was closed by security forces.
