The national unity government in Lebanon collapsed on Wednesday after several ministers from Hezbollah and its allies resigned from the cabinet, disclosed after a UN-backed investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. The state news agency reported that 11 ministers quit the cabinet of 30 members headed by Saad Hariri, son of assassinated prime minister.Hezbollah was backed by more than a third of the ministers to overthrow the government, backed by the West.
