Christina Green was nine years old when, in the shooting of Tucson, a pistol, shot by a deranged, has taken my breath away and dreams. Christina died in a state where most people still do not see any relevance between the easy and indiscriminate possession of weapons, and episodes like this. Call them, in fact, "fate" and to convince the next day, they go to buy a brand new Glock to put into the bag with lipstick or dashboard of the car.
Too bad the most comfortable belt, complete with holster and out of fashion. Christina Green was rightly commemorated by an entire country that has shown "prostrate" the face of that young life brutally and irreparably injured. Briseno Flores was nine, when a deranged woman, Shawna Forde shot her at point blank range, after fire on his parents, that she represented a threat to get rid of that: he was an immigrant.
Shwana Forde, an activist group of vigilantes against illegal immigrants, very active in Arizona, on the border area, one night in 2009, had entered, with two other "respectable gentlemen", without consent, in the home of Flores , searching for an alleged consignment of drugs ever found, and before leaving he had fired at point-blank killing Raul Flores, father of Briseno.
After her mother she was touched, however, seriously though tender, had feigned death to escape. At that point, the little Shawna Briseno had begged not to kill her, before being silenced by two gunshots to the head. None (or almost) discussed Briseno. Even in death the two children of nine years, in Arizona, are entitled to equal respect and sorrow.
Until yesterday, when news of the trial, in which Ford was found guilty (the level of penalties will be known Thursday) was picked up by some newspapers that showed, among other things, the picture of Forde, haughty and frigid. Like a killer must know how to be. Christina Briseno had nine.
Did not die of leukemia or a car accident. Were killed with a gun whose trigger is pressed once and the madness once more vulgar hatred against mankind. In a country where "obviously" is anti-abortion, anti-health reform and pro-death penalty. What is now probably take away the life even in the same Forde.
