Greece: Bomb Explosion erschttert Athens city center

 The explosion was heard in much of Athens: In the center of the Greek capital, there has been a stop. From the ground from burning cars and a cloud of smoke that rose from a courthouse. Previously, at a TV station and a newspaper a warning had been received. Athens - The explosion was triggered by findings of the first unofficial police with a bomb.

It should have been installed on a motorcycle which was parked in front of the court in central Athens. An unknown man had been warned by eye witness accounts about 45 minutes before the attack by calling a TV station and a newspaper before the explosion. Details of casualties were not at first.


An eyewitness told local reporters that the police had evacuated the courthouse on time. "We are quickly gone from the building. The police has called us," said the man at the court buildings were severely damaged. Within a radius of nearly 200 meters around the crime scene shattered windows.

The detonation was heard in almost all districts. In November, a series of parcel bombs from Greece had caused a considerable stir. More than a dozen of those bombs had been discovered in Athens and partially detonated. The packages were addressed to include messages that were addressed as well as international institutions abroad and foreign leaders, including Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU).

At that time, Greek left-wing extremists blamed for the actions. In about two weeks to begin the process to about a dozen suspected members of a radical anarchist group.
