Sakineh case: "The stoning may be deleted"

The sentence of stoning for Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani could be undone. He said Malek Ajdar Sharifi, head of the Iranian judiciary in Azerbaijan, which has as its capital Tabriz, where he is imprisoned Sakineh. "Everything is possible," said Sharifi, because there are still "some doubts" about the "evidence" in the case of the woman, who was sentenced to death by stoning for adultery in 2006 and for the murder of her husband.

In an appeal - published by the weekly Bild am Sonntag - it calls for release of journalists. "They must be freed and return to Germany as quickly as possible.

I will devote all my efforts for this goal, said the Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle signed. The appeal contains the signatures, among others, leaders of opposition parties and the chairman of Deutsche Bank, Josef Ackermann, the number one of Deutsche Telekom, Rene Obermann, than the BMW.
